Ashley Harrell, PMHNP, has been working in healthcare since 2009. As a provider she realized the lack of appropriate mental healthcare for patients. Many patients were being treated for physical complaints that were tied to poor mental health. After several years practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in various roles, Ashley decided to pursue a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification. After completing the certification Ashley has worked in the outpatient setting providing care to patients to help improve their quality of life. She looks forward to working with clients and helping them achieve a better quality of life.
What should a new client know about working with you?
A client should know that working with me will be relaxed. I strive to make each client feel comfortable and able to express their feelings. As a provider, I enjoy encouraging a collaborative environment that allows clients the opportunity to provide their input into the treatment plan.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
The typical process for working with clients involves getting to know them and their history at the intake appointment. After the intake appointment we will work collaboratively to find the best and most effective treatment options.
