Ashton earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Rush University College of Nursing and specializes as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Ashton has more than five years of experience working as a nurse in both inpatient and outpatient Psychiatric settings. Ashton values the patient-provider relationship and aims to provide a collaborative experience for her clients and to help them be an active participant in their care. Ashton understands that ongoing collaboration with her client’s treatment team is important to providing the most effective care. Ashton firmly believes that there is no “one size fits all” treatment for mental illness, but with the right combination of tools and resources, recovery is not only possible, but plausible.
