Jenna Dooley is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is experienced in caring for patients across the developmental lifespan. Jenna first pursued an undergraduate education at Wright State University, where she was awarded a BA in Psychology. She then continued on to obtain a BS in Nursing at Ohio University, and then her MS in Nursing at Northern Kentucky University. During her time at NKU, she completed competitive experiential learning placements with a focus on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
After completing her graduate degree on the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner track, Jenna began to pursue her passion for psychiatry, leveraging her skills and expertise to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals struggling with mental health issues. Through open communication and a collaborative approach to care, she works with each patient to develop a tailored treatment plan that addresses their specific concerns and goals.
She is prepared to utilize various forms of brief supportive therapies with a focus on trauma-informed care. She aims to utilize psychotropic medications to assist with treatment, and is conservative in prescribing controlled substances – which she believes should be utilized after trialing alternative treatments, in addition to ongoing therapy.
Whether working with children, adolescents, or adults, Jenna is deeply committed to building strong, trusting relationships with their patients and their families. Drawing on her understanding of the complex interplay between mental health and physical wellbeing, she is prepared to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, from anxiety and depression to ADHD and behavioral disorders. She believes that every patient deserves the highest level of care and attention and works tirelessly to ensure that each patient receives the personalized, compassionate treatment that they need to achieve optimal mental health.
